I gritted my teeth as Vlad wrapped Kaylene in a giant hug. It was almost lunchtime on Monday. We spent most of the weekend in bed. Kaylene kept saying she wanted to wait until Monday to work on the contract. Now I knew why.

She thought the big Russian lawyer would help her negotiate. What she didn’t understand was I wanted the contract to be completely in her favor—no room for me to back out.

“Vlad.” I stuck out my hand to shake. The man's grip was tight since the incident with Wade. I used Vlad a couple times even though I had the floor full of lawyers. The man was sharp and an excellent negotiator. He promised he wouldn’t kill anyone, but I still wondered how he talked the Barker family into selling their business to me. In the end, I paid ten times what the company was worth, but I offered the same deal, and they turned me down. “I didn’t know we had a meeting today.”

Kaylene stepped forward. “It’s on your calendar.” She grabbed her notepad off the table and headed into my office.

“This should be fun.” I laughed as I followed behind.

Vlad and Kaylene sat in the chairs in front of my desk. The big Russian pulled out a few pieces of paper and handed them to me. “Kaylene and I worked up the contract for you to look over. I’m here to help in any negotiation.”

I flipped to the second page and noticed it had a BDSM checklist already filled out. “I would like to go over each section line by line.”

Kaylene’s eyes widened, and her cheeks turned a deep shade of red. “I don’t think that’s necessary. I’m sure Vlad doesn’t have time for that.”

“It’s okay. This isn’t my first BDSM contract sit-in. It is the first one that is tied to marriage, though. Let’s get started.”

“You selected no to abrasion play. I’m okay with that. What I’m shocked about is branding you left as maybe. That one is a hard no for me. Your skin is too pretty to mark. I’m also not a fan of hard beatings. Do I enjoy seeing your ass red, yes, but nothing beyond that.”

Kaylene cleared her throat. “Can you make those changes, Vlad?”

“Yes.”

Most of the other ones I agreed with except for these. “No menage, orgy, or group play. I’m not into sharing.”

The process of reading the list with Kaylene in the same room had me hard as a rock. I wanted nothing more than to bend her over my desk and fuck her senseless, but I was sure that wasn’t something Vlad wanted to see, and I sure as hell didn’t want him to see Kaylene naked.

Kaylene shifted in her seat. “The rest of the contract is to protect you.”

The more I read, the more it pissed me off she would even put half this shit in here. I wasn’t going into this marriage looking for an out. Since she walked out of my door on the island, I never wanted to experience that feeling again.
